Domarna i domstolen har, vid sammanträde den 9 oktober 2012, enligt artikel 9a första stycket i stadgan för Europeiska unionens domstol, valt Vassilios Skouris till ordförande för domstolen, för perioden den 9 oktober 2012 till den 6 oktober 2015.
