Id-Direttiva 2005/36/KE tal-Parlament Ewropew u tal-Kunsill tas-7 ta' Settembru 2005 dwar ir-rikonoxximent ta' kwalifiki professjonali (1), fl-Artikolu 3(2)(1) tistipula li “professjoni pprattikata minn membri ta' assoċjazzjoni jew ta' organizzazzjoni elenkata fl-Anness I għandha tkun trattata bħala professjoni rregolata”. Tistipula wkoll li kull meta Stat Membru jagħti rikonoxximent lil assoċjazzjoni jew organizzazzjoni msemmija fl-ewwel subparagrafu, għandu jinforma b’dan lill-Kummissjoni. Il-Kummissjoni għandha mbagħad tippubblika notifika xierqa f’Il-Ġurnal Uffiċjali tal-Unjoni Ewropea.
Ġaladarba r-Renju Unit nnotifika l-assoċjazzjonijiet jew l-organizzazzjonijiet professjonali li ġejjin li jinsabu fl-Anness I, il-Kummissjoni qed tippubblika din il-Komunikazzjoni skont l-Artikolu 3(2) tad-Direttiva (2).
