2005 m. rugsėjo 7 d. Europos Parlamento ir Tarybos direktyvos 2005/36/EB dėl profesinių kvalifikacijų pripažinimo (1) 3 straipsnio 2 dalies pirmoje pastraipoje nustatyta, kad „profesija, kurią praktikuoja I priede išvardytų asociacijų ir organizacijų nariai, laikoma reglamentuojama profesija“. Joje taip pat nustatyta, kad valstybė narė, pripažinusi pirmoje pastraipoje minimą asociaciją ar organizaciją, kiekvieną kartą apie tai informuoja Komisiją. Tada Komisija paskelbia atitinkamą pranešimą Europos Sąjungos oficialiajame leidinyje.
Kadangi Jungtinė Karalystė pranešė apie toliau išvardytas I priedo profesines asociacijas ir organizacijas, Komisija skelbia šį pranešimą pagal direktyvos (2) 3 straipsnio 2 dalį.
