Verordnung (EG) Nr. 913/2004 der Kommission

vom 29. April 2004

zur Änderung der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 des Rates zur Umsetzung des Zertifikationssystems des Kimberley-Prozesses für den internationalen Handel mit Rohdiamanten

DIE KOMMISSION DER EUROPÄISCHEN GEMEINSCHAFTEN -

gestützt auf den Vertrag zur Gründung der Europäischen Gemeinschaft,

gestützt auf die Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 des Rates zur Umsetzung des Zertifikationssystems des Kimberley-Prozesses für den internationalen Handel mit Rohdiamanten(1), zuletzt geändert durch die Verordnung (EG) Nr. 657/2004(2) der Kommission, insbesondere auf Artikel 20,

in Erwägung nachstehender Gründe:

(1) Artikel 20 der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 regelt die Änderung der Liste der Teilnehmer am Zertifikationssystem des Kimberley-Prozesses.

(2) Die Tschechische Republik, Ungarn, Polen und Slowenien sind in Anhang II als Teilnehmer des Zertifikationssystems des Kimberley-Prozesses aufgeführt.

(3) Angesichts ihres Beitritts zur Europäischen Union am 1. Mai 2004 endet die selbständige Teilnahme der Tschechischen Republik, Ungarns, Polens und Sloweniens am Zertifizierungssystem des Kimberley-Prozesses am 30. April 2004 und sollten diese Länder aus der Liste der Teilnehmer gestrichen werden. Anhang II sollte entsprechend geändert werden -

BESCHLIESST:

Artikel 1

Anhang II der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 2368/2002 wird durch den Anhang der vorliegenden Verordnung ersetzt.

Artikel 2

Diese Verordnung tritt am Tag ihrer Veröffentlichung im Amtsblatt der Europäischen Union in Kraft.

Sie gilt mit Wirkung vom 1. Mai 2004.

Diese Verordnung ist in allen ihren Teilen verbindlich und gilt unmittelbar in jedem Mitgliedstaat.
