RÅDETS BESLUT
av den 1 januari 2007
om utnämning av bulgariska och rumänska ledamöter och suppleanter i Regionkommittén
(2007/6/EG)
EUROPEISKA UNIONENS RÅD HAR BESLUTAT FÖLJANDE
med beaktande av fördraget om upprättandet av Europeiska gemenskapen, särskilt artikel 263 fjärde stycket,
med beaktande av anslutningsakten för Bulgarien och Rumänien, särskilt artiklarna 13 och 49,
med beaktande av förslagen från Republiken Bulgariens och Rumäniens regeringar, och
av följande skäl:

Ledamöter och suppleanter i Regionkommittén har utnämnts för perioden från och med den 26 januari 2006 till och med den 25 januari 2010, genom rådets beslut 2006/116/EG (1). |

(2) |
Till följd av Republiken Bulgariens och Rumäniens anslutning till Europeiska unionen bör Regionkommittén kompletteras genom utnämning av tjugosju ledamöter och tjugosju suppleanter, vilka är företrädare för regionala och lokala organ i de nya medlemsstaterna och vilka valts till ett regionalt eller lokalt organ eller vilka är politiskt ansvariga inför en vald församling. |
HÄRIGENOM FÖRESKRIVS FÖLJANDE.
Artikel 1
För perioden fram till och med den 25 januari 2010 utses härmed följande personer till ledamöter och suppleanter i Regionkommittén:

Som ledamöter, de personer som för varje medlemsstat anges i bilaga I. |
|
— |
Som suppleanter, de personer som för varje medlemsstat anges i bilaga II. |
Artikel 2
Detta beslut får verkan samma dag som det antas.
Det skall tillämpas från och med den 1 januari 2007.
Utfärdat i Bryssel den 1 januari 2007.
