DECISÃO DA COMISSÃO
de 24 de Outubro de 2007
que altera a Decisão 2005/393/CE no que respeita às zonas submetidas a restrições relativas à febre catarral ovina situadas em França, Alemanha, Áustria, Portugal, Dinamarca, República Checa e Reino Unido

A COMISSÃO DAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEIAS,
Tendo em conta o Tratado que institui a Comunidade Europeia,
Tendo em conta a Directiva 2000/75/CE do Conselho, de 20 de Novembro de 2000, que aprova disposições específicas relativas às medidas de luta e de erradicação da febre catarral ovina ou língua azul (1), nomeadamente o n.o 3 do artigo 8.o,
Considerando o seguinte:

A Directiva 2000/75/CE define as regras de controlo e as medidas de luta contra a febre catarral ovina na Comunidade, incluindo o estabelecimento de zonas de protecção e de vigilância e a proibição de saída de animais destas zonas. |

(2) |
A Decisão 2005/393/CE da Comissão, de 23 de Maio de 2005, que diz respeito às zonas de protecção e de vigilância relativas à febre catarral ovina e às condições aplicáveis à circulação de animais a partir ou através dessas zonas (2), prevê a demarcação das áreas geográficas globais onde os Estados-Membros devem estabelecer zonas de protecção e de vigilância («zonas submetidas a restrições») relativamente à febre catarral ovina. |

Após um pedido fundamentado apresentado por França e pela Alemanha, convém alterar a demarcação das zonas submetidas a restrições nesses dois Estados-Membros, incluídas na zona F. |

Na sequência do alargamento da zona submetida a restrições na Alemanha devido aos recentes surtos de febre catarral ovina de serótipo 8, convém demarcar uma zona submetida a restrições na Áustria e alterar as zonas submetidas a restrições na Dinamarca e na República Checa incluídas na zona F. |

Na sequência da notificação de surtos de febre catarral ovina de serótipo 1 e de um pedido fundamentado apresentado por Portugal, convém alterar a demarcação da zona submetida a restrições E constante do anexo I da Decisão 2005/393/CE e alterar a zona I, onde surgiram os serótipos 1 e 4. |

Na sequência da notificação de surtos de febre catarral ovina de serótipo 8 no Reino Unido, convém demarcar uma zona submetida a restrições neste Estado-Membro, incluída na zona F. |

A Decisão 2005/393/CE deve, por conseguinte, ser alterada em conformidade. |

As medidas previstas na presente decisão estão em conformidade com o parecer do Comité Permanente da Cadeia Alimentar e da Saúde Animal, |
ADOPTOU A PRESENTE DECISÃO:
Artigo 1.o
O anexo I da Decisão 2005/393/CE é alterado em conformidade com o anexo da presente decisão.
Artigo 2.o
Os Estados-Membros são os destinatários da presente decisão.
