ASSENT No 9/81 given by the Council, pursuant to Article 55 (2) (c) of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, to enable the Commission to grant financial aid amounting to 18 062 400 ECU allocated as follows from the levies provided for in Article 50 of that Treaty

In a letter dated 10 March 1981, the Commission of the European Communities requested the assent of the Council of the European Communities pursuant to Article 55 (2) (c) of the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community to the allocation of funds from the levies provided for in Article 50 of that Treaty for Community coal research programmes in the fields of mining engineering and product beneficiation in the mining industry.

At its 703rd meeting held on 28 April 1981, the Council gave its assent as requested by the Commission.
