++++ Declaration by the European Economic Community on supplies to the sugar refining industry in Portugal The Community is prepared to pay particular attention to the supply situation of Portuguese refineries in future reviews of the common organization of the market in that sector . In addition , the Community is prepared to carry out , before the end of the transitional period , an overall examination of the supply situation of the refining industry in the Community and in particular of the Portuguese industry , on the basis of a report from the Commission accompanied if necessary by proposals permitting the Council to decide , if need be , on the measures to be taken .
