Règlement (CE) no 1536/2003 de la Commission

modifiant le règlement (CE) n° 2368/2002 du Conseil mettant en oeuvre le système de certification du processus de Kimberley pour le commerce international des diamants bruts

LA COMMISSION DES COMMUNAUTÉS EUROPÉENNES,

vu le traité instituant la Communauté européenne,

vu le règlement (CE) n° 2368/2002 du Conseil du 20 décembre 2002 mettant en oeuvre le système de certification du processus de Kimberley pour le commerce international des diamants bruts(1), modifié en dernier lieu par le règlement (CE) n° 1214/2003 de la Commission(2), et notamment son article 20,

considérant ce qui suit:

(1) L'article 20 du règlement (CE) n° 2368/2002 prévoit de modifier la liste des participants au système de certification du processus de Kimberley, notamment des membres de l'Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC) et des territoires douaniers distincts satisfaisant aux prescriptions du système.

(2) Par son avis du 31 juillet 2003, la présidence du système de certification du processus de Kimberley a fourni une liste réactualisée des participants à ce processus. Par cette mise à jour, qui doit prendre effet le 1er septembre 2003, la Croatie est notamment ajoutée à la liste des participants et l'Algérie, le Brésil, le Burkina Faso, le Cameroun, Chypre, la République populaire démocratique de Corée, le Gabon, le Ghana, la Malaisie, le Mali, Malte, le Mexique, la Norvège, les Philippines, le Swaziland, la République tchèque, le Togo, la Tunisie, la Turquie et le Viêt Nam en sont retirés. L'annexe II doit donc être modifiée en conséquence,

A ARRÊTÉ LE PRÉSENT RÈGLEMENT:

Article premier

L'annexe II du règlement (CE) n° 2368/2002 est remplacée par l'annexe du présent règlement.

Article 2

Le présent règlement entre en vigueur le 1er septembre 2003.

Le présent règlement est obligatoire dans tous ses éléments et directement applicable dans tout État membre.
