Explanatory notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union

Pursuant to the second indent of Article 9(1)(a) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 (1), the explanatory notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union (2) are hereby amended as follows:
On page 69, in the explanatory note to CN subheading ‘1211 90 86 Other’ the following text is inserted between point 5 and the last sentence:

Seed husks of Psyllium (Plantago ovata) in the form of heterogeneous fragments, obtained by threshing.’ |
On page 71, the following text is inserted between the explanatory note to CN subheading ‘1302 20 10 and 1302 20 90 Pectic substances, pectinates and pectates’ and the explanatory note to CN subheading ‘1302 31 00 Agar-agar’:

‘1302 31 00 to 1302 39 00 |
Mucilages and thickeners, whether or not modified, derived from vegetable products As long as a product either swells in cold water or dissolves in hot water, the mentioned criteria of the HS Explanatory Note to heading 1302 , (C), first paragraph, are fulfilled.’ |
On page 71, in the Explanatory Note to CN subheading ‘1302 39 00 Other’ the following text is inserted after point 4:
