COUNCIL JOINT ACTION 2005/97/CFSP
of 2 February 2005
extending the mandate of the Special Representative of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Articles 14, 18(5) and 23(2) thereof,
Whereas:

On 12 July 2004 the Council adopted Joint Action 2004/569/CFSP (1) on the mandate of the Special Representative of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina and repealing Council Joint Action 2002/211/CFSP. |

(2) |
On the basis of a review of Joint Action 2004/569/CFSP the mandate of the Special Representative should be extended for a further 6 months, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS JOINT ACTION:
Article 1
The mandate of Lord ASHDOWN as the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as set out in Joint Action 2004/569/CFSP, is hereby extended until 31 August 2005.
Article 2
This Joint Action shall enter into force on the day of its adoption.
Article 3
This Joint Action shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
