1. Resumption of session
The sitting opened at 17.00.
2. Approval of Minutes of previous sitting
Othmar Karas had informed the Presidency that he had been present at the sitting of 10.05.2007, but that his name was not on the attendance register.
The Minutes of the previous sitting were approved.
3. Membership of Parliament
Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin had been appointed to the French Government with effect from 18 May 2007.
Under Rule 3(2), second subparagraph, of its Rules of Procedure, Parliament noted the appointment and established the vacancy with effect from 18 May 2007, under Article 7(1) of the Act concerning the election of representatives of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage and under Rule 4(1).

5. Establishing a green hydrogen economy and a third industrial revolution in Europe (written declaration)
Written declaration 16/2007 submitted by Zita Gurmai, Anders Wijkman, Vittorio Prodi, Umberto Guidoni and Claude Turmes on establishing a green hydrogen economy and a third industrial revolution in Europe through a partnership with committed regions and cities, SMEs and civil society organisations had been signed by the majority of Parliament's component Members. Consequently, in accordance with Rule 116(4), it would be forwarded to its addressees and published, together with the names of the signatories, in the Texts Adopted of the sitting of 22.05.2007.
