    Notice concerning the provisional application of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the other part, of the Agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning security procedures for exchanging and protecting classified information and of the Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the European Atomic Energy Community for Cooperation on the Safe and Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy

    The European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the other part, have notified the completion of the procedures necessary for the provisional application of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the other part (the 'Trade and Cooperation Agreement'), of the Agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning security procedures for exchanging and protecting classified information (the 'Security of Information Agreement') and of the Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the European Atomic Energy Community for Cooperation on the Safe and Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy (the 'Safe Nuclear Energy Agreement'), in accordance with Article FINPROV.11(2) of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Article 19(2) of the Security of Information Agreement and the Exchange of Letters related to the Safe Nuclear Energy Agreement.

    Consequently, those Agreements apply provisionally as from 1 January 2021:

    between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, of the one part, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the other part, as regards the Trade and Cooperation Agreement;

    between the European Union and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as regards the Security of Information Agreement; and

    between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the European Atomic Energy Community for Cooperation on the Safe and Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy.

    As provided for in Article FINPROV.9 of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Article 21 of the Security of Information Agreement and Article 25 of the Agreement for Cooperation on the Safe and Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy, the versions of those Agreements in the Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish languages will be subject to final legal-linguistic revision in the coming months. The authentic and definitive texts resulting from such legal-linguistic revision will replace ab initio the signed versions of the Agreements.S
