Initiative summary:
The Telecoms Terminal Equipment Directive aims to open telecommunications terminal equipment markets to competition and requires Member States to provide the Commission at the end of each year with a report allowing it to monitor compliance with key provisions of the Directive. This proposal intends to repeal the annual reporting requirement under Article 7 (together with Annex 1) of the same Directive and contributes to the Commission objective on reducing the administrative burden.
