- Initiative summary:
- The New Consumer Agenda will provide a new EU strategic framework for consumer policy in key priority areas: consumer empowerment in the green and digital transitions; protecting vulnerable consumers; enforcement of consumers’ rights and international cooperation. It will anticipate three sectoral initiatives – initiative on improving information on sustainable products, a revision of the Consumer Credit Directive, and a revision of the General Product Safety Directive.
