Commission notice on the issuing of licences to railway undertakings

Pursuant to Article 11(8) of Council Directive 95/18/EC of 19 June 1995 on the licensing of railway undertakings, the Commission is obliged to inform the Member States of the situation regarding licences issued. When a licensing authority issues, suspends, revokes or amends a licence, the Member State concerned shall inform the Commission accordingly. The main aspects of the licence issued by the office indicated in point 2 are set out below.
