Initiative summary:
This initiative provides for a clarification of the admissible cybersecurity and control of access measures to be applied by vehicle manufacturers with regard to the vehicle On-Board Diagnostic and Repair and Maintenance Information. It also lays down requirements aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the provisions of Article 61 of the Type Approval Regulation, taking into account technical and regulatory developments, in particular in the field of cybersecurity.
