- Initiative summary:
- The initiative aims at establishing the digital euro as a new form of central bank money issued next to banknotes and coins. It would also cover the essential aspects and key design functions of the digital euro to achieve the desired policy objectives and enable the European Central Bank to issue the digital euro in line with its objectives and mandate.
