- Initiative summary:
- This initiative will amend certain provisions in respect of customs formalities aiming to facilitate legitimate trade. Secondly, the initiative contributes to the implementation of the EU’s new pre-arrival security and safety programme supporting effective risk-based customs controls whilst facilitating free flow of legitimate trade across the EU external borders.
