Subject: Revision of pregnant workers directive
What action has the Commission taken in response to paragraph 7(g) of the European Parliament's resolution (P5_TA(2003)0369) of 3 September 2003 on implementing the social policy agenda which urged the Commission come forward with proposals to amend Directive 92/85/EEC (1) on the introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health at work of pregnant workers and workers who have recently given birth or are breastfeeding, in the spirit of the proposals contained in the European Parliament's resolution (A5-0155/2000 (2)) of 6 July 2000, particularly concerning the duration of maternity leave?
