correcting Commisson Regulation (EEC) No 626/85 on the purchasing, selling and storage of unprocessed dried grapes and figs by storage agencies

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 426/86 of 24 February 1986 on the common organization of the market in products processed from fruit and vegetables (1), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 1125/89 (2), and in particular Article 8 thereof,

Whereas a check has revealed that a mistake was made in the French and Greek versions of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 626/85 (3), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2328/88 (4); whereas the Regulation in question should be amended accordingly with respect to the nature of the physical stocktaking of products in stock held by storage agencies;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Products Processed from Fruit and Vegetables,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

1. The French version of Article 26 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 626/85 is replaced by the following:

'2. Les organismes stockeurs procèdent à un premier inventaire physique des produits qui sont en stock le dernier jour du mois de février, à minuit (heure locale), de l'année suivant l'année civile au cours de laquelle les produits ont été achetés.

Des inventaires physiques sont faits par la suite pour les produits en stock le 31 août de chaque année à minuit (heure locale).'

2. The Greek version of Article 26 (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 626/85 is replaced by the following:

'2. Oi organismoí apothematopoíisis analamvánoyn tin ypochréosi na provoýn se mia próti fysikí apografí ton proïónton poy vrískontai sto apóthema tin teleftaía iméra toy Fevroyaríoy, stis 24.00 (topikí óra), toy étoys poy épetai toy imerologiakoý étoys katá to opoío agorástikan ta proïónta.

Metagenésteri fysikí apografí prépei na gínei gia ta proïónta poy vrískontai sto apóthema stis 31 Avgoýstoy káthe étoys, stis 24.00 (topikí óra).'

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
