Initiative summary:
Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 sets out protective measures against pests of plants. It includes the establishment of protected zones, prohibitions and requirements for import and trade of certain plants. Those measures are based on risk assessments carried out by EFSA, the European Plant Protection Organisation (EPPO) or other authorities. This draft act will update those protective measures, in view of the overall development of the phytosanitary risk in the EU
