WRITTEN QUESTION E-2566/96 by Iñigo Méndez de Vigo (PPE) to the Commission (11 October 1996)

Subject: Funds for NGOs in Turkey

According to media sources, the Turkish authorities have suggested that the Commission stop subsidizing the activities of certain NGOs in Turkey.

What response has the Commission made to this suggestion?

The Commission would refer the Honourable Member to its answer to Written Question E-1789/96 by Mr Kaklamanis ((OJ C 322, 28.10.1996, p. 104. )).
