- Initiative summary:
- This Commission Recommendation aims to provide a definition for innovative enterprise, startup and scaleup. It will provide readily applicable set of criteria, establishing a clear framework that can be applied consistently across the EU, which would also improve policy coherence, would allow separate legislations or funding instruments, at both EU and national level, to better target legal or financial support measures to such companies, thereby encouraging innovation and strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.
