- Initiative summary:
- This decision aims at identifying specific European standards which comply with the general safety requirement of the GPSD and publishing the references to these in the OJEU. Further to this Decision, products fulfilling these standards will be presumed safe in conformity with the GPSD as far as the risks and risk categories addressed by the standard are concerned, thus facilitating the tasks of economic operators and market surveillance authorities and improving the safety of consumers.
