    Information from Spain concerning implementation of Directive 2008/68/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council

    2011/C 374/06

    The Kingdom of Spain has informed the Commission according to Article 1(4)(b) of Directive 2008/68/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 September 2008 on the inland transport of dangerous goods (1) that:

    —

    For reasons of avoiding highly populated areas and routes that may be not be safe in all weather conditions Spain has decided to lay down requirements as regards the use prescribed routes for road transport of dangerous goods. The use of the shortest route is recommended to minimise the danger that the transport may present.
