    DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

    No 21/2010

    of 12 March 2010

    amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

    THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

    Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, and in particular Article 98 thereof,

    Whereas:

    (1)

    Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 18/2010 of 1 March 2010 (1).

    (2)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 1290/2008 of 18 December 2008 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (CNCM-I-3698) and Lactobacillus farciminis (CNCM-I-3699) (Sorbiflore) as a feed additive (2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (3)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 1292/2008 of 18 December 2008 concerning the authorisation of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CECT 5940 (Ecobiol and Ecobiol plus) as a feed additive (3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (4)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 1293/2008 of 18 December 2008 concerning the authorisation of a new use of Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-1077 (Levucell SC20 and Levucell SC10 ME) as a feed additive (4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (5)

    Commission Regulation (EC) No 102/2009 of 3 February 2009 concerning the permanent authorisation of an additive in feedingstuffs (5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

    (6)

    This Decision is not to apply to Liechtenstein,

    HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

    Article 1

    The following points shall be inserted after point 1zzzzzc (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1253/2008) of Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement:

    32008 R 1290: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1290/2008 of 18 December 2008 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (CNCM-I-3698) and Lactobacillus farciminis (CNCM-I-3699) (Sorbiflore) as a feed additive (OJ L 340, 19.12.2008, p. 20).

    32009 R 0102: Commission Regulation (EC) No 102/2009 of 3 February 2009 concerning the permanent authorisation of an additive in feedingstuffs (OJ L 34, 4.2.2009, p. 8).’

    Article 2

    The texts of Regulations (EC) No 1290/2008, (EC) No 1292/2008, (EC) No 1293/2008 and (EC) No 102/2009, in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

    Article 3

    This Decision shall enter into force on 13 March 2010, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee (*1).

    Article 4

    This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
