Initiative summary:
The objective of this agreement between the European Union and New Zealand is to allow the transfer of personal data between Europol and the competent authorities of New Zealand to fight serious crime and terrorism. The exchange of data will support and strengthen the action by the authorities of the Member States of the Union and those of New Zealand while safeguarding the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all individuals concerned, including their privacy and data protection.
