- Initiative summary:
- The revision of the Firearms Directive (EU 2017/853) tasked the Commission to adopted delegated acts laying down the detailed arrangements for the systematic exchange of information by electronic means. One form of exchange of information which had to be established electronically relates to information exchange between Member States with regard to refusals to grant authorisations for firearms on the grounds of security of relating to the reliability of the persons concerned.
