Initiative summary:
Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2292 lays down import conditions for certain products. A need to amend Article 3 of the Delegated Regulation was identified to allow the entry into the Union of certain products of animal origin where the Union is largely depending on such entry (carmine, certain collagen casings). Also, a need for clarification to guarantee a harmonised implementation was signalled on the establishments of origin of raw materials used in other establishments for certain meat (products) allowed for the entry into the Union.
