- Initiative summary:
- This initiative aims to promote measures to support broad, meaningful participation by civil society organisations and citizens. To strengthen civic engagement and participation, inclusiveness and effectiveness, Member States are encouraged to create an enabling environment for civil society and citizens as a precondition for their participation. Member States’ actions will be framed by key guiding principles like transparency, openness, access to information, inclusiveness and accountability.
