- Initiative summary:
- As set out in the European Green Deal, the EU should ramp up the deployment of sustainable alternative transport fuels and its infrastructure. In view of the accelerated uptake of zero emission vehicles, the Green Deal notes that we need 1 million recharging points by 2025. This initiative will contribute to the low and zero-emission mobility by setting requirements for a sufficiently dense network of recharging and refuelling infrastructure in the EU that is easily accessible and simple to use.
