Initiative summary:
The European Green Deal emphasises the need to prioritise energy efficiency so that it sufficiently contributes to achieving the higher EU climate ambition at level of at least 50% towards 55 % in a responsible way by 2030. Thus the Commission has committed itself to review and revise if necessary the Energy Efficiency Directive in order to enable the achievement of a higher EU climate target for 2030.
