Acceptance by Member States of the Commission’s proposal of the appropriate measures pursuant to Article 108(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union

In paragraph 200 of the Communication from the Commission – Guidelines on regional State aid (2), the Commission proposed as appropriate measures that Member States limit the application of all existing regional aid schemes to aid intended to be awarded by 31 December 2021 at the latest (paragraph 200, point (1), of the Communication) and amend other existing horizontal aid schemes that give specific treatment for aid to projects in assisted areas in order to ensure that aid to be awarded after 31 December 2021 is in line with the regional aid map applicable on the date the aid is awarded (paragraph 200, point (2), of the Communication). The Commission requested the Member States to confirm acceptance of the proposed appropriate measures within one month of publication of the Communication in the Official Journal of the European Union (paragraph 200, point (3), of the Communication).
Pursuant to Article 23(1) of Regulation (EU) 2015/1589, the Commission hereby takes note of the explicit and unconditional acceptance of the appropriate measures by all Member States concerned.
