Aid will be granted in accordance with Article 15 of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006, in kind, via the advisory services for small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises provided by producer groups, partially compensating the latter for the costs entailed in the provision of advice as regards staff and training expenses, and the costs of acquiring field material, literature and equipment

Duration of scheme: Under the scheme, aid may be granted until 31 December 2013 and for six months thereafter

Objective of aid: Through incentives for technical assistance services, to provide holdings with technical assistance aimed at the use of local food resources, such as fields and pastures, and of environment-friendly production techniques and means geared towards animal welfare, provided such services do not fall under everyday business management.

The aid is to be granted in kind in the form of subsidised services and does not involve direct payments of money to producers. These services will be provided by the livestock association, various bodies or directly by the competent services of the regional administration.

The aid is accessible to all those eligible in the area concerned, based on objectively defined conditions. If the services are organised by producers' organisations, membership of these organisations is not a prerequisite for access to such services, and the non-members' contributions towards the association's or organisation's administrative costs are limited to the costs of the service provided.

The costs for the following activities are eligible:

Reference to Community legislation: Article 15(1), (2)(a), (b), (c) and (f), (3) and (4) of Regulation (EC) No 1857/2006.

Please note that Article 2(1a) of Law No 21/2001 makes explicit reference to the above-mentioned Article and thus to all the conditions set out previously and laid down therein
