THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Whereas:

The application was evaluated by the competent authority of Latvia.

(3)

As the approval of hydrochloric acid was to expire on 30 April 2024, Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2619 (3) postponed that expiry date to 31 October 2026, in order to allow sufficient time for the examination of the application.

(4)

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2246 (4) renewed the approval of hydrochloric acid for use in biocidal products of product-type 2, subject to the conditions in the Annex to that Regulation, including a new expiry date of approval. Therefore, it is appropriate to repeal Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2619,
