Notice concerning a request in accordance with Article 30 of Directive 2004/17/EC — Deadline extension

Request made on behalf of a Member State

On 22 November 2010, the Commission received a request in accordance with Article 30(4) of Directive 2004/17/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 March 2004 coordinating the procurement procedures of entities operating in the water, energy, transport and postal services sectors (1).

This request, which comes from the Czech Republic, concerns exploration for and extraction of coal in that country. The request was published in OJ C 324, 1.12.2010, p. 27. The initial period expires on 23 February 2011.

As the Commission needs to obtain and examine additional information, and in accordance with the second sentence of Article 30(6), the period within which the Commission must reach a decision concerning this request has been extended by three months.

The final period therefore expires on 23 May 2011.
