List of recognised control authorities and control bodies for the import of organic products compliant with EU rules
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2794 of 31 October 2024 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1378 as regards the recognition of certain control bodies in accordance with Article 46 of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council as competent to carry out controls and issue organic certificates in third countries for the purpose of imports of organic products into the Union

- Initiative summary:
- Among the other systems, the EU imports organic products certified by control authorities and control bodies whose standards have been recognised as equivalent to rules of the repealed EU legislation on organics. This recognition is set to expire by 31/12/2024. This amendment sets the list of control authorities and control bodies recognised to certify operators and groups of operators in third countries, compliant with the new EU legislative framework on organics currently in force, for the purpose of import of organic products into the EU.
