- Initiative summary:
- Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 lays down the legal framework for market surveillance and compliance of non-food products. Article 34(6) requires the transmission of data on product imported into the EU (products placed under the customs procedure ‘release for free circulation’) between national customs systems and the information and communication system for market surveillance (ICSMS). The data to be transmitted must be defined in an implementing act.
