- Initiative summary:
- The Regulation lays down the rules on ELAN (Electronic Agricultural non customs formalities system), the IT system developed by DG AGRI to be interconnected with the Single Window Environment to exchange documents accompanying agricultural products between the EU customs and the issuing authorities of EU Member States and third countries. In particular the Regulation governs the methods of communication of the documents issued by the competent authorities, the information to be communicated, and the arrangements on their transmission.
