Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on roaming on public mobile communications networks within the Union (recast)
- Initiative summary:
- The initiative aims at reviewing and prolonging the “Roaming Regulation”, which introduced the roam-like-at-home principle that ended retail roaming charges within the European Economic Area. As market conditions do not appear to guarantee roam-like-at-home without a regulatory framework, the legislation needs to be prolonged beyond its current expiry date of 30/06/2022.
