Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union

Pursuant to the second indent of Article 9(1)(a) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 (1), the Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union (2) are hereby amended as follows:
On page 45, in the Explanatory Notes to Chapter 7, the following paragraph is inserted between the subject header ‘General’ and its existing text (‘Sprouts …’):
‘Blanching is not permitted within this Chapter, with the exception of:
— |
Frozen vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water) of heading 0710; |
— |
Dried leguminous vegetables, shelled, whether or not skinned or split, of heading 0713.’ |
