AGREEMENT in the form of an exchange of letters between the European Community and Bulgaria concerning transit A. Letter from the Community Sir, The following was agreed between the Community and Bulgaria: 1. The Parties shall not take any measures which would adversely affect the situation resulting from implementation of the bilateral agreements concluded between the Member States of the Community and Bulgaria, and in particular the number of authorizations, weight and dimensions of vehicles and applicable duties. 2. The Community and Bulgaria hereby agree that, where transit conditions in the territory of the former Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia should fail to return to normal, they will examine and, where necessary, agree on modifications to the undertakings referred to under 1. above in order to facilitate Community transit. Bulgaria and the Community shall conclude a bilateral agreement on transport. Pending the conclusion of such an agreement, any changes concerning the arrangements outlined above will be decided by common agreement. I should be obliged if you would confirm that your Government is in agreement with the above. Please accept, Sir, the assurance of my highest consideration. For the Community B.
