Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 173/2002 of 6 December 2002 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex XX to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 149/2002 of 8 November 2002(1). (2) Commission Decision 2002/371/EC of 15 May 2002 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to textile products and amending Decision 1999/178/EC(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 Annex XX to the Agreement shall be amended as follows. 1. The present point 2en shall become point 2ena. 2. The following indent shall be added in point 2ena (Commission Decision 1999/178/EC): "- 32002 D 0371: Commission Decision 2002/371/EC of 15 May 2002 (OJ L 133, 18.5.2002, p. 29)." 3. The following point shall be inserted after point 2em (Commission Decision 98/634/EC): "2en. 32002 D 0371: Commission Decision 2002/371/EC of 15 May 2002 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to textile products and amending Decision 1999/178/EC (OJ L 133, 18.5.2002, p. 29)." 4. Point 2ena shall be deleted with effect from 31 May 2003. Article 2 The text of Decision 2002/371/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 7 December 2002 provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(3). Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 6 December 2002.
