Information relating to the entry into force of the Agreement between the European Union, the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on the Swiss Confederation's association with the implementation, application and development of the Schengen acquis,  (1) as well as of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation concerning the criteria and mechanisms for establishing the State responsible for examining a request for asylum lodged in a Member State or in Switzerland  (2)

The procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Agreement between the European Union, the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on the Swiss Confederation's association with the implementation, application and development of the Schengen acquis, as well as of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation concerning the criteria and mechanisms for establishing the State responsible for examining a request for asylum lodged in a Member State or in Switzerland, both signed in Luxembourg on 26 October 2004, having been completed on 1 February 2008, these Agreements, in accordance with their Articles 14(1) and 12(2) respectively, will enter into force simultaneously on 1 March 2008.
