The Battery Regulation includes life-cycle carbon footprint requirements for several categories of batteries. These requirements have to be detailed by implementing legislation. This delegated act is the first step for the implementation of the carbon footprint requirements for electric vehicle batteries. It specifies the methodology for the calculation and verification of the life-cycle carbon footprint for these batteries.
