Initiative summary:
The proposal will provide a targeted amendment of Regulation 883/2013 primarily linked to the creation of the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO). It will lay the foundations for an efficient cooperation with the EPPO. In addition, it will target the most unambiguous shortcomings identified by the evaluation of the Regulation, COM(2017) 589, to ensure effective and equivalent protection of the Union’s financial interests.
