Initiative summary:
The operations of ETIAS are financed using the EUR 7 fee paid by third country nationals applying for an ETIAS. That fee can be increased if the funds collected do not cover the expenses. In order to gather evidence as to whether the fee should be changed, the act seeks to collect information from the Member States and the Agencies regarding their spendings. The act also contains rules on the financial support to Member State on the automate border checks in order to implement ETIAS.
