- Initiative summary:
- In the light of the experience gained after the first exercise for the financial year 2023, the annual performance clearance should be discontinued to ease the administrative burden upon Member States. For the scrutiny of transactions, the aim is to strike the right balance between its current relevance and the resources that need to be deployed annually by Member States for this exercise. Once the Commission's CAP simplification proposal of May 2025 is adopted by the co-legislators, the Commission Implementing act should be amended as well
