Authorisation of State aid pursuant to Article 61 of the EEA Agreement and Article 1(3) of Protocol 3 to the Surveillance and Court Agreement EFTA Surveillance Authority decision not to raise objections (1999/C 223/10) Date of adoption: 12.5.1999 EFTA State: Norway Aid No: 98-014 Title: Notification of new aid (loan) scheme; "The Norwegian Environment Fund" ("Statens Miljøfond") Objective: Support projects which go beyond mandatory environmental standards Legal basis: Fiscal Budget for 1998, Royal Decree of 22 May 1998, Law on The Industrial and Regional Development Fund of 3 July 1992, no 97 Aid intensity: Up to 30 % gross, with an extra 10 % gross for SMEs Amount of aid: Scope of the loans for 1998 is NOK 250 million (EUR 18,5 million) Duration: Individual award of aid of indefinite duration, but decided upon by the Norwegian Parliament each year in relation to State budget appropriations
